Tempest

Tempest captures the raw power, movement and unpredictability of the sea beneath a storm-darkened sky. I wanted the painting to feel immersive and emotional, the moment where light breaks through gathering clouds as waves rise and crash with force below.

Through deep ocean tones, layered texture and dramatic contrasts of light and shadow, the piece explores both turbulence and beauty within nature.

For me, Tempest reflects the energy of the coastline at its wildest; a reminder of how small we are against the elements, yet how deeply drawn we remain to their power and atmosphere.
