Savannah

Savannah was inspired by the unforgettable intensity of an African sunset where the sky seems to catch fire and the entire landscape is drenched in deep crimson, amber and gold. 

I wanted to capture not only the colour, but the feeling of heat, stillness and atmosphere that hangs in the air as day gives way to night. The sweeping movement within the sky reflects the raw energy and drama of nature, while the dark horizon and reflective water create a sense of calm beneath the chaos above. For me, this piece is the kind of sunset that stays with you long after you’ve left it behind.
