During a visit to Marrakesh, I witnessed a beautiful and deeply human moment between a grandmother and her grandchild. As she lifted him into the air, her face held such warmth, tenderness and unconditional love that I felt compelled to capture it.

Through this portrait, I wanted to preserve not only her likeness, but the emotion and connection shared between them in that fleeting instant.

Although this original piece has now sold, portraiture remains one of my greatest passions, and I continue to welcome commissions that allow me to tell personal stories and capture the spirit, character and emotion of a subject through art.
